My education began in 1973 at The University of Vermont enrolled in the music program as a music major. I then transferred to Johnson State College and continued my studies in a music education program to get my degree in 1977. I began my career teaching music in a K-12 school in Plainsfield, VT. In 1989 I started teaching grades K-8 in The Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union. I was involved with four different schools and stayed there for ten years. In 1999 I started teaching K-12 choral and general music in The Windsor Southwest Supervisory Union. I have 14 general music classes a week at Chester-Andover Elementary school which covers the complete student body.  I also teach a grade 3-6 elementary chorus and give concerts at least 2 times a year. At Green Mountain Union High School I teach grades 7-8 Middle School Chorus and 9-12 High School chorus.

Class 3 Middle School Chorus
Middle School Chorus is offered as an elective for any student in grades 7 or 8. We meet on C-days of the A B C middle school rotation days all year long for 45 minutes. Students prepare music to present at two main concerts that are held in December and May. Various other activities are held throughout the year such as a talent show or a musical production that students may be involved in if they wish. Students are graded based on their class participation, not on their ability.

Class 4 High School Chorus
High School Chorus is offered as an elective for any student in grades 9-12. We meet everyday all year long for 50 minutes. Students prepare music to present at two main concerts that are held in December and May. We use a variety of musical genres and prepare music using at least 3 part harmony. Students are graded on their class participation, not on their ability. Students have the option to participate in many other musical activities through out the year including district level as well as state level activities.
