Awards at Jr Iron Chef

GM's high school and middle school teams participated in the 9th Annual Jr Iron Chef competition on March 19th at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction. Jr Iron Chef VT is a statewide culinary competition that challenges teams of middle and high school students to create healthy, local dishes that inspire school meal programs.

Both GM teams did a super job. The High School Team (Chelsea Rose, Alexandra Pippin, Caitlin McCoy, Simone Martarano) won the Local Lively Award for using local ingredients. The Middle School Team (Ange Wunderle, Laurel King, Rileigh Thomas, Gwendylan Kekic, Pearl Myers) won the Mise en plac award for organization and teamwork.
