April Fools Fear Factor

Mrs. Simmons, our Registered Nurse at Green Mountain, had written and won a grant from the Vermont Department of Health.  She decided to use the monies to host an April Fools Food Fear Factor during the Middle and High School lunches.  The students did a blind taste test of various healthy foods such as kale, mangos, quinoa, berries, tofu, liver, kiwis, and avocados, etc. The students learned the food's nutritional value.  It was such a great time and surprisingly, the students actually liked the new foods they encountered.
